Shepparton Theatre Arts Group is administered by a Committee of Management in accordance with the Incorporation of Societies Act. The committee meets monthly (usually on the first Wednesday of the month) as required by the constitution of the organisation. All members are welcome to attend these committee meetings, and may do so by contacting the secretary.

The company has recognised the contribution of many members by the presentation of life memberships of the company. Other notable presentations from other bodies include Georgy Awards, which are presented in memory of the late George Pullar and his contribution to dramatic arts in the Goulburn Valley. In addition, there are the annual Music Theatre Guild of Victoria Awards for Excellence, presented to amateur theatre groups in Victoria.

The company has had a long list of Presidents and committee members over its history, and is fortunate to have a vibrant and youthful membership, sourced from the local region. Unlike other non-professional companies, STAG has as its membership base a strong core of family groups, and its members are experienced in all areas of stagecraft.
