Not The Sporting Type?
Scream and cheer for more as Shepparton's first Theatresports Club gets ready to make it's debut.
Get yourself along to the Cutting Edge Youth Hall (Wesley Hall) in Maude St and get a helping of theatrical madness as the club meets for the first time on April 27 from 6pm - 7.30pm. And, if you like what you encounter, you can then go back every last Friday of each month for more and more of the sport that's not actually a sport. That's right! No running laps! No sweating!
Well, maybe sweating, but all in good fun!
There will be two Theatresports groups running concurrently at the venue; one for those aged 14 - 17 and another for adults.
There will also be a chance to participate in regional Theatresports events throughout the year so you'll get to compete with other 'sporty' types across the state and maybe even win a trophy or two. Just think - trophies for 'sport' without the athletic physique!
And if that's not enough there's always Galways up the road a little where you can chill out and socialise after the Theatresports session.
So there it is quick-witted, hilarious and spontaneous thespians - get to it. Your kind of sport.
